We Scan ID's Format Translation Decoding System

WeScanIDs.com

The WE SCAN IDs Format Translation Decoding System (WE SCAN FTDS) or (WE SCAN Decoder) contains a Windows-based native WIN32 DLL (Dynamic Link Library) that can be used by software developers to quickly and easily add Driver License parsing capability to their Windows-based applications.

The Decoder is designed to use the encoded data found in a Driver License or Government-issued ID’s machine-readable technology (2D barcode or magnetic stripe) and return the common elements as a Smart Record Format. The Smart Record Format allows the software developer to utilize a single format data type instead of the hundreds of variations found in Government-issued IDs. The American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) offers a specification for encoding digital information on an ID, but most government entities choose to modify these specifications creating their own unique data structure.

The Decoder is licensed as an annual subscription due to frequent changes in Driver licenses and Government-issued IDs. Jurisdictional Updates (Updates) to the decoder are normally provided on a quarterly basis in order to optimize scan functionality and data accuracy. The WE SCAN FTDS is unique in that a highly innovative software interpreter is built into the Decoder itself, allowing most updates to be added in real time without the need to replace any system DLLs. The software licensing schema allows for both corporate or group licensing as well as individual licensing. In addition, we have the technology to provide machine identification and data encryption resources to help protect the information you gather as may be required by PCI-DSS or PCATS.
